The Infinite Hotel is the staging of a one-take feature film fashioned into a cathartic live experience. Commissioned by new opera festival PROTOTYPE, the piece offers a poetic answer to the mysterious interconnection of simultaneous creativity. Inviting the live audiences to become ‘extras’ and step inside the elaborate moving-making machine, the multimedia narrative follows five strangers who unknowingly write music together across space and time. Through this prism, concepts concerning the nature of human interrelatedness, our appetite for visibility, and the creative ideas we accidentally share are thrown into stark relief.
